The treaded part that tightens on your AC vent has a plastic threaded screw. If you try to get a tight grip it will instantly break. Lucky if you are handy, you can open up that piece and replace it with a metal screw , but you have to grind the screw head into a (T) shape. I did this and it is working now. Poor quality making the threaded part out of plastic !!!!
