Zoeller 42-0008 Floor Sucker II Non-Auto Dewatering Pump with 20 Ft. Power Cord - Heavy Duty Water Removal for Basements, Crawl Spaces & Flooded Areas

i've been using this for an outdoor drain that can't keep up with torrential rain. even though it doesn't have an automatic shutoff, and i've occasionally left it on for a few hours when the rain stopped while i was at work, it's still working great.used a suggestion i read from a comment: took an unused 5 gal. paint bucket, drilled >20 holes around the bottom of the wall and put the pump in there. this prevents leaves and larger chunks of mud from going into the pump.This pump is not manufactured by Zoeller. It is manufactured by another company and Zoeller slaps a sticker on it and sells it. It is grossly overpriced and an equivalent pump can be had from your local Home Depot or Lowes for significantly less. I bought mine from Zoeller and feel screwed!
